WHAT ARE MAXIFLO INHALER?

MAXIFLO INHALER medicine, in the form of an inhaler, is a symptomatic therapy to prevent and alleviate the symptoms of asthma and COPD such as coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and tightness in the chest.

This product is used to prevent breathing problems like asthma and helps stop breathlessness and wheezing. However, it does not work if you already have an asthma attack, i.e. in the case of wheezing and wheezing. In this case, you will need to use a fast acting cure to relieve these symptoms, such as salbutamol.

BEFORE START USING MAXIFLO INHALER INFORM YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE:

HOW CAN MAXIFLO INHALER BE USED WITH OTHER MEDICINES?

Before starting the therapy, inform your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, which you have recently received or that you may be using. If you use this inhaler together with other drugs, the effect of the inhaler or other medication can be changed.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking  the medicines for:

  • heart rhythm disorders
  • glaucoma)
  • allergic reactions
  • high blood pressure
  • depression or mental disorders
  • psychiatric or psychological disorders (antipsychotics)
  • fungal infections
  • viral infections including HIV
  • bacterial infections – antibiotics
  • decreased thyroid function

WHAT ARE RECOMMENDATION FOR USE  OF MAXIFLO  INHALER DURING PREGNANCY, LACTATION, DRIVING AND HANDLING THE MACHINES?

Before starting with the therapy with MAXIFLO INHALER, inform you pulmonologist.

Your doctor will advise whether or not to use this medicine.

Driving and using machines.

It is unlikely that this medicine will affect your ability to drive or to handle the machines.

HOW IS MAXIFLO INHALER PRESCRIBED?

MAXIFLO INHALER should use the inhaler regularly as prescribed.

Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age

The usual dose is two inhalations twice daily, like two inhalations in the morning and two in the evening.

WHAT ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE  APPLICATION?

If you have a new inhaler or have not used the inhaler for more than three days, you must prepare it for proper function and dosage.

If your inhaler has been exposed to frost, it must be allowed to warm for 30 minutes at room temperature.

Preparation of the inhaler:

  • Always shake the inhaler immediately before use
  • Remove the mouthpiece cover
  • Hold the mouthpiece apart and spray one dose (inhalation injection) by pressing the aerosol can. This step should be repeated four times.
  • Inhale slowly and deeply with your mouth, ideally for about 4-5 seconds
  • Hold your breath for as long as it is pleasant for you.
  • Do not breathe into the inhaler.
  • When you are finished, place the cover on the mouthpiece.
  • After using the inhaler, always rinse your mouth with water and brush your teeth
  • Keep the inhaler clean

If you take more medicine than you should, It is essential that you take the dose prescribed by your doctor.

You can feel severe chest pain, high or low blood pressure, headache, muscle cramps, sleep disorder nervousness,  dry mouth, trembling, dizziness, weakness, fatigue.

Immediately inform your doctor about the condition.

If you forget to use MAXIFLO INHALER

If you have forgotten to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not double your next dose to replace omitted dose.

If you stop using MAXIFLO INHALER

It is very important that you use this inhaler every day according to your doctor’s advice, even if you feel better.

WHAT ARE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

As with other inhalers, your breathing may deteriorate immediately after using the inhaler.

If this happens, stop using the MAXIFLO INHALER inhaler and use it your fast-acting relief inhaler. Contact your doctor immediately.

  • Asthma exacerbation.
  • A headache.
  • Tremor.
  • Irregular heart rhythm or heart pounding.
  • Dizziness.
  • Sleep disorder
  • Changes in voice/hoarseness.
  • Dry mouth, sore throat or irritation.
  • Rash.
  • Soor and other fungal infections in the mouth and throat.
  • Inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis).
  • Fast heartbeat.

Chest pain in connection with heart disease.

  • Muscle cramps.
  • A cough or shortness of breath.
  • Diarrhoea.
  • Restlessness.
  • Skin dermatitis.
  • High blood pressure.
  • I am feeling of unusual weakness.
  • Swollen hands, ankles or legs.
  • Changes in bone density (bone thinning);
  • cataract (haze of eye lens);
  • glaucoma (increased eye pressure);
  • bruising or thinning of the skin;
  • Increased possibility of getting an infection;
  • slowing growth rates in children and adolescents;
